English as a Second Language
Learn English for everyday life, work, and community. Our ESL classes are designed for adult immigrants who want to improve their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

GED Preparation
Earn your high school equivalency and unlock new opportunities. Our GED prep classes help adult learners prepare for the official GED exam with support from caring instructors.

Citizenship Preparation
Get ready for the U.S. citizenship test with confidence. We guide you through everything you need to know to become a U.S. citizen in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Computer Skills
Learn essential digital skills for work and daily life. Our hands-on classes teach basic computer use in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.

*The registration must be in person at Mother Veronica Center.
Important Information
Our Center follows the Reading School District calendar:
- The school year runs for 9 months, beginning in September (the Monday after Labor Day) and ending on the first Saturday in June.
- We take breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas/Winter, and Easter/Spring.
- Classes are not held on national holidays or Election Day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the classes really free?
Classes are free, but we ask students to help cover the cost of books.
What do I need to bring to class?
Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn! We provide all necessary materials. For computer classes, we have computers available for student use.
Do I need to speak English to join?
No! Our ESL classes start with absolute beginners. For some programs we have bi-lingual or multi-lingual staff who can help with class orientation.
How long do the programs last?
Program lengths vary. ESL has ongoing classes you can attend as long as needed. GED prep typically takes 3-6 months. Citizenship is 8-12 weeks. Computer skills are 6-8 weeks.
